Yoga Nidra is a guided meditation practice designed to deeply relax and release tension held in the subconscious and unconscious. This practice restores balance to mind, body and spirit. Through pranayama (breath work), gentle asana and guided visualization we can ease forward into fall.
As we transition into the cooler seasons the air and space element tend to increase – we call this vata energy. When our vata is in excess we have trouble focusing and being still and can feel anxious, restless and fearful. We will use this class to set a sankalpa or seed of intention to move forward with ease and clarity.
In this special practice you will also be enveloped in the gentle and healing sound of singing bowls, bringing you even deeper into a relaxed, meditative state.
Sound is energy. Ancient science tells us that we are created from sound.
Sound is vibration and all on this planet is vibrating. When you hear the sounds your cells begin to do an internal dance. They get shaken up and release all that is harmful.
