BuddhaPrivate Yoga

Whether you’re new to yoga or an advanced practitioner, everyone can benefit from private sessions. This time can offer many benefits, such as an opportunity to go deeper into your practice, start a practice or simply to have the one on one attention in a safe environment. Whether you need balance in the yoga postures, would like to start a meditation practice, seek fulfillment in completing poses you’d never try in a class setting, or simply need to stress less, it’s your time and journey. I will merely guide you along the route.

Richness begins to develop in all areas of your practice — asana, pranayama, or meditation. Yoga has a way of penetrating into all the multiple layers that hold us together — the physical body, breath body, emotional body, energetic body, and spiritual body.

My style of teaching is light hearted allowing individuals to find the true essence of their “self” respecting where you are in your practice on and off the mat. I have a deep appreciation for human anatomy which allows me to add emphasis on alignment yet guide students to be playful on their mat in an environment that’s safe.

Classes range from a basic hatha to an easeful yet powerful vinyasa focusing on connecting the mind with the breath and the breath with each movement. Pranayama and meditation are often a part of a class. Expect soothing music and a sense of humor.

Group or Class Instruction

Do you have a group of people who’d love a yoga class in a private setting? Whether it’s a group of friends, family member (s) or colleagues, it will be fun and fruitful. What a great way to start your day, make use of a lunch break or end your workday.

What is ISHTA?

Ishta stands for the Integrated Science of Hatha, Tantra and Ayurveda. It is a blending of physical, energetic and healing practices. One that caters to the individual whether looking for a physical, mental or spiritual practice. The word ISHTA is also a Sanskrit word translating to ‘that which resonates with the individual spirit,’ emphasizing the personal journey encouraged and guide students to embrace. To read more on this style of Yoga, go directly to the Ishta Yoga website I give gratitude and thanks to the lineage of teachers I’ve studied with including Alan Finger, Sarah Platt-Finger, Jean Koerner, Julie Wilcox, Peter Ferko, Mona Anand and many more.

“You are perfect as you are.”
